Grand Saline pounds Alba-Golden
The Grand Saline Indians continued their relentless offensive production and shut-down pitching with a 12-2 five-inning win over Alba-Golden on March 14.
Indian second baseman Jase Melton went 3 for 3, while pitcher Phillip LaPrade was on target from the mound all day.
Alba-Golden managed two runs in the top of the third as Jacob Dailey started a rally with a double. The Indians then shut the door on the Panthers and set them down in order in the fourth and fifth.
The Grand Saline run-making machine continued to produce. They put up three runs in the first, four in the second, three in the fourth and two in the fifth.
