A Hall of Fame angler is going to Winnsboro High School Auditorium to speak about his life in the outdoors on Thursday, May 10. Hank Parker will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the Winnsboro High School auditorium. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.

Parker has been the host of “Hank Parker’s Outdoor Magazine” which has been airing since 1985. He is a two-time winner of the BassMaster’s Classic, Grand Slam of Bass Fishing and many other tournaments.

His passion for the outdoors isn’t limited to fishing as he has been an avid hunter most of his life. Parker has completed the wild turkey Royal Slam and has harvested many Pope and Young whitetail deer and elk.

In 2005, Parker and his sons, Hank Jr., and Billy, began televising their hunts. “Parker’s Flesh and Blood” and “Hank Parkers Outdoor Magazine” are both airing on the Outdoor Channel. Parker has been inducted into the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame and The International Game Fish Association Hall of Fame.

Parker will share his testimony of what God has done in his life. He and his wife, Martha, reside in Union, South Carolina and they have eight children and 11 grandchildren.

There will be drawings for door prizes during the event at Winnsboro High School auditorium.
