Harmony blitzes Mineola in three games
The Mineola Lady Jackets were expected to bounce back strongly after the Sept. 25 loss to Quitman, but the Harmony Lady Eagles came to Mineola and played near error-free volleyball. Mineola fell to Harmony 25-11, 25-16, 25-11 last Tuesday.
The Lady Jackets’ play was just uninspired. They had flourishes of quality play but could not sustain any success on the night.
Analysis of game one revealed the story of the match. Harmony committed five unforced errors in game one while Mineola had 14. The Lady Jackets were just out of sync.
Despite the nature of the loss, Mylee Fischer had a strong match. Her effort stood out from start to finish.
The next opportunity to see the Lady Jackets at home will be Tuesday, Oct. 13 in a rematch against Quitman.
