Caring & Sharing auction is Saturday
Mineola’s Caring & Sharing Radio Auction, one of the Christmas campaign’s biggest fundraisers, will be Saturday on KMOO Radio, 99.9 FM.
The auction will be from 8 a.m. to noon, and KMOO General Manager Tonya Slayton is heading up the event this year. Caring & Sharing volunteers will be manning the phones during the fundraiser.
“The whole concept is still the same but we have some new items,” Slayton said. Additionally, there will be a donors/buyers stew at the radio station while the auction is going on.
“We’ve got a lot of new things,” she said. Those include new items on the automotive board, and under the sports category with “cool trips” as well as some of the same things. Photos of items have been posted on the radio station’s website.
