Missy Zivney, a founder of Refuge of Light, will speak at the next Women on Mission meeting on April 16 at 9:30 a.m. at Holly Brook Baptist Church, Hawkins.

The meeting will take place in the craft room of the Family Life Center. The women of Holly Brook Baptist are accepting pajamas in various sizes and personal items for rescued children.

Refuge of Light is a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a safe home for girls rescued from sex trafficking. The organization states that human trafficking is the second largest and fastest growing criminal activity in the world. Within the United States an estimated 100,000 to 300,000 individuals are sexually trafficked yearly, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Meanwhile, only a handful of safe homes and shelters exist in the United States for minors. Most of these victims are girls in the 10 to 17 age range. Refuge of Light can be contacted at P.O. Box 132703, Tyler, TX 75713. The website is info@refugeoflight.org and the National Human Trafficking Hotline is 1-888-373-7888.

Call the church office for more information about the presentation: 903-769-2091.
