Konya Leigh Baxter

QUITMAN-Memorial services for Konya Leigh McCall Baxter, 50 of Quitman were held September 29 at First Baptist Church, Alba with Pastor Kelly Burton officiating.

Burial will followed at the Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia.

Mrs Baxter died September 17, 2018, in her home in Quitman. She was born October 25, 1967 in Albany, Georgia to Kenneth and Kay McCall.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama and later earned a registered nurse degree from the College of Nurses, affiliated with the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. She worked in the Arlington Hospital district and managed a home health care facility in the DFW Metro area. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Alba.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kaylee Austin McCall; husband, Darryl Baxter; grandfather, Claude Jones and step-grandfather, Kenneth Murphy.

Survivors include her parents; sister, Kimberlee Barnes of Alba/Golden; grandmother, Alaouida Murphy and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to First Baptist Church Alba Building Fund, 219 Holly Street, Alba 75410.
