NatureFest offers free fun

The Mineola Parks & Open Spaces board is hosting NatureFest this weekend at the Mineola Nature Preserve.
The free event kicks off Friday night from 7-10 p.m. There will be hot dogs served in a campfire setting along with storytelling and stargazing.
The event will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and includes a plethora of activities such as fishing, bird watching, nature preserve tours, pottery and basket weaving, a 5K fun run and much more.
Those attending are asked to bring a folding chair as seating may be limited. For more information, visit mineolanaturepreserve.com.
