Lady Panthers throttle Lone Oak
The Alba-Golden Lady Panthers used a strong 18-7 second quarter to race past Lone Oak in a 61-49 win Friday night.
After a close first quarter, which saw the Lady Buffalos take a slim 15-14 lead, the Lady Panthers took control leading to a 32-22 lead at intermission. The teams played even in the second half with Alba-Golden scoring 29 points to 27 for Lone Oak.
The Lady Panthers made 20-28 free throws in the game and hit on three triples. Grace Bizzell and Macie Pendergrass each had 15 points for the Lady Panthers while Ashlyn Rogers scored 12 and Ginny Carson netted 20.
The Lady Panthers travel to Grand Saline on Friday in district action.
