Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor:

The duties and responsibilities of judge and prosecutor are different. If they do not remain separate, the system breaks down.

The Sanhedrin prejudged Jesus before they talked to him. They called false witnesses, but no two could agree.

So the Sanhedrin became the prosecution to prove blasphemy. Then they reverted to judge to pass sentence: death.

Does this sound familiar?

Congress prejudged President Trump without facts. They hired a prosecutor but did not like what he had to say. So now Congress is the prosecutor. After the false witnesses Congress will revert to judge and pass sentence: impeachment.
