Letters to the editor
Dear editor:
In responding to the latest “Corner Column” (it’s usually my first look in our local paper) I felt a kinship to our current Wood County Monitor owners, Phil and Lesa Major.
As someone familiar with local media ownerships in competition with larger corporation buyouts of groups of smaller newspaper and broadcast facilities, I can very much appreciate the challenges and grit the Majors face, both in finding their place in Wood County, and continuing newspaper service to our region.
I wish the best for them and their staff in “keeping it local” in our area communities.
