Deputy Terri Altman was dispatched to a residence on CR 2231 in the Mineola area in reference to an assault which had occurred earlier in the day. The female victim stated that during a verbal altercation with her boyfriend, he grabbed her by the left arm and aggressively pulled her to the ground. The woman further stated that afterward she jumped up and hit him in the back of the head five times and did not wish to pursue criminal charges due to the fact that both parties were at fault. A family violence report was completed and this case was closed.

Deputy Kevin Atkinson was dispatched to a residence on US Hwy 69 in the Alba area in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Atkinson spoke with the complainant who stated he and his wife were arguing about their juvenile son when his wife scratched him on the chest and bit him on the upper arm. He also stated that his wife attempted to take the keys away from him when he tried to leave in his truck. Atkinson observed injuries on the man consistent with his story. While attempting to speak with the wife, Deputy Atkinson noted the woman smelled strongly of alcohol and had slurred speech. She had only one small cut which she stated was sustained during her struggle to take her husband's keys. After several minutes of active resistance, the woman was eventually taken into custody and transported to jail. She is charged with assault causing bodily injury, family violence.

Deputy Dustin Fenlaw was dispatched to a residence on CR 3227 in the Quitman area in reference to a burglary. The homeowner reported that her son had returned home from school to find the window broken out of the back door of the residence. A check of the residence revealed one gun had been stolen. The gun is described as a Sig Sauer P226, valued at $800. One item of evidentiary value was collected at the scene. This case has been turned over to investigators who will attempt to develop leads and locate the missing gun.

Deputy Tucker George was dispatched to a residence

on CR 3450 in reference to a theft call. A woman reported that her car was broken into sometime in the early morning hours and two Apple iPhones and a Dewalt brand drill were stolen. The total value of the missing property is $750. Deputy George recorded information regarding a possible suspect. This case has been forwarded and remains under investigation.

Deputy Austin Cryer took a report from a Quitman woman who stated she had been contacted by representatives of Nordstrom who stated several purchases in their store had been flagged by her Discover credit card. The woman stated she did not make any purchases at Nordstrom and was unsure if the purchases were made at a retail location or online. The woman was provided with information to report online fraud and an incident report was completed for documentation purposes.

Deputy Austin Cryer took a report from a Mineola man who stated he had been contacted by Capital One Bank and informed that someone had attempted to obtain a credit card in his name. The bank informed him that the applicant had his social security number but not all the information matched so no credit card was issued. Cryer completed an incident report for documentation purposes.

Deputy Jeremy Ragsdale took a report from an Alba man who advised a trailer had been stolen from his driveway. The trailer is described as a white W-W brand 16' fully enclosed trailer with a Stantco insulation blowing machine mounted on the left side. The trailer also contained an antique mirror and a Home Comfort wood stove. The total value of the stolen property is $21,450. This case has been turned over to investigators who will attempt to develop suspects and locate the trailer.

Deputy Jeremy Ragsdale was dispatched to ETMC Quitman in reference to an assault. Upon arrival, Ragsdale spoke with the victim who stated two men had assaulted him at the intersection of CR4280 and FM 515. According to the victim, he pepper sprayed the two

men and was then punched by one of the men and placed in a chokehold by the other. He also stated he was pushed to the ground where the men continued to assault him by kicking him and punching him in the head. Ragsdale's report states that the victim lost consciousness and when he came to he observed the two men walking back to their vehicle. Ragsdale was able to observe multiple abrasions on the victim's face and head as well as a large bruise on his abdomen. The victim also advised that he has had ongoing problems with the men as a result of a property issue. This case has been turned over to CID for further investigation.

Deputy Jeremy Ragsdale took a report of burglary from a Lindale man who stated he had launched his boat from the public boat ramp on FM 17 near FM 515 at approximately 8:15 am and when he returned at 2:30 pm he discovered several items were missing from his pickup. The missing items include a combination jump starter/air compressor, a two ton floor jack, tool set and a socket set. The total value of the missing property is $185. This case has been forwarded to CID for continued investigation.

Deputies Josh Davis and Austin Cryer were dispatched to a residence on CR 3145 in the Quitman area for a domestic dispute after a woman called to say her mother and father were arguing. Upon arrival, deputies were met by the daughter who stated she did not see an assault occur but did hear her father yelling. The victim advised she had been pushed to the ground and kicked in the hip. She also stated she wished to pursue criminal charges. The deputies also spoke with the suspect who stated he did kick the woman in the hip but only after she hit him in the chest. Deputies were unable to observe any signs that the man had been struck. Jeffery Brad Slaughter, 51, Quitman, was subsequently arrested and transported to jail. He is charged with assault causes bodily injury, family violence.

Deputy Terri Altman was dispatched to an address on CR 4837 for a theft report. The

complainant stated that he is a contractor at that location and one of his employees had loaded up construction tools from the worksite into his vehicle on Saturday and has not returned to work since then. Another employee stated he witnessed the suspect loading up the tools. The missing tools include a trim gun, framing gun, Sawzall, compressor and a dual tank air compressor. The total value of the missing property is just over $1,600. Deputy Altman recorded information about the suspect and the case was forwarded to CID where it remains under investigation.

Deputy Donivan South took a report of an assault which occurred on CR 2140. A man stated that his ex-girlfriend has assaulted him after he allowed her to stay a night at his residence. The man further stated the woman had slapped him several times on both sides of his face and the back of his head. The woman also pinched the man in the underarm area on both sides. Deputy South spoke with the ex-girlfriend and advised her that the man did not want her at his house. She collected her belongings and was issued a criminal trespass warning for the property at the victim's request. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputy Terri Altman was dispatched to Pro-Tec Laboratory on FM 2225 for a theft report. The production manager stated two cell phones had been stolen from the employee break room. Both phones were stolen from lunch boxes between 5:50 am and 8:20 am. Altman was able to obtain video surveillance footage of the area. The case has been forwarded to CID where investigators will review the video and work to identify a suspect.

Billie Earl Johnson, 52, Fruitvale, release of surety, unlawful possession of firearm by felon; release of surety, bail jumping and failure to appear, habitual X3; release of surety, possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, four grams of more but less than 200 grams, with intent to deliver X2.
