Mary Analou Latham 1946-2023

Mary Analou Latham, 76, of Mineola passed away on Jan. 26, 2023. She was born in Ben Franklin on Aug. 16, 1946 to the late Alton and Nettie Stotts. She was a member of the Mineola Chamber of Commerce. She was founder and co-owner of M&M Property Management. She enjoyed sewing, baking and spending time with grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Oleta Brumley.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Mike Latham of Mineola; daughters, Cari McCall and husband Albert of Ennis, DeAnn Holleman and husband Ricky of Longview, Becki Vega and husband Eliseo of Carrollton, Emily Frenze and husband Cory of Amsterdam, N.Y.; son, James Eric Latham and wife Sonia of Springfield, Mo.; sisters, Wanda Erwin of Grand Prairie, Billie Jean Cano of Greenville and Vick Steen and husband Ronnie of Celeste; nine grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023 at 11 a.m. in Mineola.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
