Mineola chamber makes banquet plans

The 2024 Mineola Chamber of Commerce Banquet is set for Thursday, Feb. 22 with a theme based upon Vincent Van Gogh’s “The Starry Night” masterpiece painting as a metaphor to celebrate the stars of the Mineola community and the upcoming solar eclipse.

The banquet will take place at the Mineola Civic Center and include a plated dinner, entertainment, silent auction, raffles, games, community awards and more. Tickets can be purchased individually, are included in several sponsorship packages or as part of a table package. The banquet is a BYOB event limited to one bottle of wine or a six pack of beer per person.

“This celebration presents the opportunity for organizations to recognize the difference makers in our community with awards including Man of the Year, Woman of the Year, Community Spirit, Teacher of the Year, Fellowship of Christian Athletes Student of the Year, and Humanitarian of the Year,” said Kelsie McGilvray, chamber president. “In addition to honoring community leaders, this event raises nearly half of the income that our organization invests into economic development, community enrichment, marketing and tourism.”

Several sponsorships remain available, which include a variety of recognitions, publicity and VIP tickets. To become a sponsor, purchase tickets or for more information on any other banquet details visit Danielle Vance at the chamber office at 101 E. Broad St., call 903-569-2087 or visit www.mineolachamber.org.

The chamber is already in planning phases for its other 2024 community events including Savor on the Bricks long table dinner (spring date to be determined), May Fiesta May 4, and Mineola’s biggest community event the Iron Horse Heritage Festival, Sept. 28. Committee volunteers are encouraged to contact the chamber to be part of the organizing efforts for these fun-filled events.
