Mineola Fire Dept. rodeo sets 60th run

The Mineola Fire Dept. is gearing up for its 60th annual rodeo Friday and Saturday, July 7-8 at the rodeo arena on Hwy. 69 North.

Rodeo action begins at 8 p.m. nightly, with slack scheduled for Thursday.

Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children 5-11, with four and younger free

The rodeo is a major fundraiser for the department, which also operates concessions. Adult beverages will be for sale, and no outside food or drink is allowed.

The Flying C Rodeo Co. of Madill, Okla. will once again produce the show, which will feature $10,500 in added prize money.

Rodeo royalty will be crowned nightly.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
