Mineola home tour features three eras
The Mineola Landmark Commission will celebrate “150 Years Under the Mistletoe” with its 2023 Christmas Tour of Homes.
The tour will be held on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets will be $15 and may be purchased on the day of tour at each participating home. Tickets may also be purchased ahead of time from any Mineola Landmark Commission member or at City Hall.
In the spirit of Mineola’s Sesquicentennial, the three homes on the tour will represent time over the last 150 years. The Henry Home at 411 E. Kilpatrick Street, built in 1913, represents the first 50 years. The Baker Home at 615 N. Johnson Street, built in the mid-1950s, represents the second 50 years, and the Smith Home at 1137 Kings Lane #100 is a new build representing the last 50 years.
Refreshments will be served at each home, and door prizes will be awarded at the end of the tour.
Proceeds from the tour will benefit Landmark Commission and Junior Historian projects. Please come join the tour through three time periods under the mistletoe.
