Mineola Kiwanians handing out school supplies

Mineola Kiwanis Club will host its annual Back to School Supplies event at the Jack and Peggy Jones Pavilion at the Mineola Civic Center Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9-noon. Students from Alba-Golden and Mineola schools who are in need of help with their supplies are invited to attend the event, which will include a limited amount of supplies for Pre-K through fifth grades. 

Various health exams will be available including eye checks from the Gladewater Lions Club, a dentist, and Grace Healthcare will all be in attendance.

Kiwanis members will be cooking hot dogs for lunch, and the splash park will be available for the students to enjoy. This event is a long time project of the Mineola Kiwanis Club.
