Mineola man jailed on drug charges
On Feb. 11, Mineola police arrested Douglas Edward Gilliam, 63, of Mineola on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, a third-degree felony.
At 10:21 a.m., a narcotics search warrant was executed on Goodson Circle after police had conducted an investigation of Gilliam on suspicion of dealing methamphetamine, according to police.
Along with the allegation of possessing a controlled substance in a drug-free zone, Gilliam faces misdemeanor charges of possessing a dangerous drug and possessing less than two ounces of marijuana.
He was being held at Wood County Jail on bonds totaling $100,000.
