8:01 a.m. An officer assisted EMS and first responders with conducting CPR at the Renal Care. The patient was transported to UT East Texas.

12:01 p.m. A fraudulent sale of a vehicle was reported. The vehicle was taken to the shop and found to have a different identification number for the cab and frame.

4:48 p.m. Fraud was reported on a woman’s Valero fuel card.

8:14 p.m. Sam Ali Teymourpour, 38, of Mineola was arrested for invalid driver’s license and expired registration after he was stopped for a defective tail light on W. Kilpatrick Street.

February 1
10:10 a.m. Debrah Jean Morris, 53, of Alba was arrested for three counts of debit card abuse (elderly). Morris had taken a nursing home resident’s debit card and used it without permission at Walmart, Murphy’s and Tractor Supply.

4:25 p.m. A theft was reported at Autumn Winds Assisted Living when an aide took money from a resident. Charges are pending for theft (elderly).

6:02 p.m. Officers assisted Wood County Pct. 2 Constable on a reported stolen license plate in the Walmart parking lot.

8:50 p.m. Officers were asked to respond to the youth basketball game on University Street because of some fans who were out of control and cursing the referees. Officers remained at the game for a little while to prevent further problems.

February 2
8:19 a.m. A woman on Brenda Lane turned in illegal paraphernalia that was located at her residence.

2:11 p.m. Loud music was reported on Graves Street. An officer went to the location and the music was turned down.

3:39 p.m. A resident on W. Blair Street reported having problems with his neighbor over property lines. He was told to speak with his landlord about the problem.

4:38 p.m. A backpack with a Chrome laptop was found on the ground at the gym on University Street. The laptop was determined to be assigned to a student at MISD and turned over the MISD Police Department.

6:46 p.m. A terroristic threat was reported by a resident on Brenda Lane. The officer determined that no direct threat was made.

6:47 p.m. Walmart reported a female in the store that had previously been trespassed. Shelby Elayne Adams, 23 of Mineola, was arrested for criminal trespass.

7:34 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on Hwy. 37 North, southbound into the city. An officer stopped the vehicle and conducted a field sobriety test on the driver. The passenger was allowed to drive.

9:21 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific Street. An officer stopped the vehicle and gave the driver a verbal warning. The officer did not witness any violations.

February 3
12:03 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on Debby Lane. An officer checked the vehicle and found that two people were sitting in the vehicle talking.

2:55 p.m. An officer assisted the fire department on a reported electrical fire at Wood Memorial Nursing Home.

5:15 p.m. A cell phone was reportedly bought off of Facebook. The phone had been reported stolen to AT&T.

8:11 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a man who had been parked in the Brookshire’s parking lot for a long period of time. An officer checked on the man and found that he was just sitting in the parking lot talking on his phone.

11:05 p.m. An officer assisted a stranded motorist to change a tire on West Broad Street.

February 4
1:32 a.m. An officer assisted a Wood County Deputy on a traffic stop on East Broad Street.

7:32 a.m. A car was reported parked on Stone Street and causing traffic issues when the traffic was diverted down Stone Street from Front Street when the railroad tracks were being repaired. Contact was made with the owner of the vehicle and it was moved.

11:07 a.m. Wood County S.O. reported a call received in reference to a man sitting on the side of the roadway at Front and Wren Street. The man told officers and EMS that he was wanting to harm himself. The man went willingly with EMS to the hospital for an evaluation.

12:49 p.m. UT Health Emergency Room reported an assault that occurred at a residence on N. Pacific Street. An investigator went to the hospital and determined that the man was hit in the head with a bottle by his girlfriend during an argument. The man would not cooperate and did not wish to pursue charges. A report was filed for family violence purposes.

1:15 p.m. A woman reported someone stole her cell phone from her vehicle or she lost it.

3:00 p.m. A man’s wallet was turned in by Golden Chick restaurant. The wallet was returned to the owner.

3:08 p.m. An 18-wheeler was reported to be blocking the roadway at Front and Wren Street.

3:27 p.m. An 18-wheeler was reportedly stuck at Front and Stone Street when the driver was diverting from the railroad tracks at Pacific and Broad Street. The driver was written citations for not using the truck route and impeding traffic.

February 5
9:17 a.m. A reckless driver was reported on East Broad Street headed westbound, speeding up and slowing down. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

9:20 a.m. An 18-wheeler diverted down Front Street. An officer stopped the vehicle and sent the truck back to the loop after issuing a citation for not using the truck route.

9:49 a.m. Another 18-wheeler diverted down Front Street. An officer stopped the vehicle and issued a citation for not using the truck route.

10:33 a.m. An 18-wheeler was stuck at Front and Stone Street.

10:59 a.m. A welfare concern was reported for a small child outside on North Newsom Street. The child was fine and his mother was checking on him while he was playing.

1:06 p.m. A hit and run was reported in the Walmart parking lot. A license plate was found from the suspect vehicle. The woman was found inside Walmart and said she didn’t know she had hit a car. Insurance information was exchanged. No charges were filed.

5:33 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a female who was reportedly sitting on the curb at Newsom and Cage Street. An officer made contact with her and found she was fine.

8:41 p.m. Officers assisted Wood County on an assault reported on FM 1801.

9:26 p.m. A reckless driver was reported that was unable to maintain a single lane of traffic. The vehicle turned into a business on North Pacific Street. An officer checked the welfare of the driver and determined the driver showed no signs of intoxication.

February 6
1:28 a.m. A reckless driver was reported southbound on Hwy. 37 attempting to run vehicles off the roadway. Officer waited at the city limits but did not observe the vehicle coming into the city.

10:58 a.m. A stolen vehicle was reported by Quick Sale Auto on West Broad Street. The vehicle was located in Van Zandt County at a towing company. A state trooper found it on the side of the roadway on Feb. 2. This is under investigation.

12:43 p.m. A man reported medication taken from his vehicle, but he did not know the theft took place.

2:31 p.m. A phone scam was reported by a citizen that resulted in several thousand dollars lost. The scammers reportedly acted as if they were representatives of Publishers Clearing House and the victim was getting a lot of money and a car. This scam took place over a month’s time. The scammers had the victim send them cash for various reasons to obtain the money and car that was won.

9:02 p.m. Loud music was reported on Mimosa Street. Upon the officer’s arrival, he was unable to locate or witness loud music.
