The Alba Library is proud to announce that we have added over 200 new juvenile nonfiction books to our amazing children’s section. This purchase was funded by Alba Friends of the Library through their fundraising activities.

Alba Library adds new nonfiction books

The Alba Library is proud to announce that we have added over 200 new juvenile nonfiction books to our amazing children's section. This purchase was funded by Alba Friends of the Library through their fundraising activities. The books cover a wide spectrum of topics including dinosaurs, Texas, sports, crafts,"I Spy" look and find books, fairy tales, life sciences, etc. Come take a look and check out some of our amazing new books.

Enjoy books brought to life by talented readers, including our very own Vicki Fisher. Miss Vicki is a former children's librarian who uses hand puppets, stuffed animals, music, and active participation to entertain and delight kids of all ages.

Cards, Dominoes, Word Games, etc. Games and game pieces are provided by the library--coffee and cookies, too! Come in and join the fun!

Street dance Friday night 7-10 featuring Amanda Pruitt with the Rugged Heart Band. Saturday morning and afternoon: BBQ cook-off, entertainment, and lunch with drawings for a variety of raffle prizes(including a Remington 870 Express shotgun) at 2:00 p.m. Get details at www.albawildhog.com 903-765- 3473.

Writer of fishing/sporting articles and books,will speak and sign books at the library. Refreshments will be provided. The public is invited.

Mike of Pint Size Polkas will be at the Alba Community Center for music dance, stories, and refreshments, sponsored by the library. All ages are welcome to come and learn to polka!
