Mineola seniors adding activities

The Mineola Senior Center has added some new activities.

On Mondays there is a group playing Rummikub from 10 a.m. to noon at the center.

A Game Night has been added on Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Anyone can come play. There was a fairly good attendance on July 26. Participants may bring snacks.

There is a $2 donation fee.

The Thursday chair exercise class at 11:30 a.m. has been well attended. There is different music each week. Most people agree it is a lot of fun.

This Thursday is the monthly potluck and speaker at 12:30 p.m. Patty Mize is a retired RN who worked in home health. She will speak on “End of Life Issues.”

Bring a favorite dish and enjoy meeting other seniors.

The Center is located at 308 University (and McDonald). Signs are now up on the east side and west side of the building.
