Newana “Ann” Riddle, 1937-2020

Newana “Ann” Riddle went to her heavenly home Friday, May 22, 2020. Ann was born Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1937 to the late Harvey and Velma Skinner in Wood County. After attending school, Ann married Kennith Riddle and they moved to West Texas to raise their family. She returned to Wood County in 2000. She was Baptist and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church of Crane.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband and one son, Tim Riddle. She is survived by two sons, Wayne Riddle and Larry Riddle; and one daughter, Cindy Blackburn. Ann was one of 14 children and she had six brothers and seven sisters. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, other family and many loving friends.

Graveside services were held Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home of Mineola.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
