One airlifted from scene of traffic crash
Rafael Amaya rammed his pickup into the side of Victoria Sanders’ 1990 Ford Ranger pickup about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2.
Amaya was driving a 2012 GMC when he ran through the stop sign at the intersection of Hwy. 69 and County Road 2260.
Amaya was taken by ambulance to UT Health in Tyler with possible injuries. He received a citation for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign.
Sanders was flown by helicopter to UT Health Tyler with severe injuries.
No fatalities have been reported.
