Police respond to multi-vehicle hit-and-run accident
On Thursday, March 21, Mineola police responded to a three-car hit-and-run accident at about 4:45 p.m. in the 400 block of South Pacific Street.
The vehicle that caused the accident left the scene. The driver of the middle vehicle, which was hit and pushed into the first vehicle as the driver attempted to turn into a business, also took off on foot, according to police.
Charges are pending for the passenger of the second vehicle for tampering with evidence. No injuries were reported.
The incident remained under investigation last week, according to police.
