QDC agrees to help fund city land purchase

During a special meeting May 22, the board of the Quitman Development Corp. approved a grant not to exceed $36,000 to the city of Quitman for expenditures related to the purchase of 715 S. Main St. as part of an economic development incentive agreement with the city.
The city council will be taking up the matter at a future meeting.
