Quitman finds going rough at West Rusk
Quitman will be trying to finish out the 2023 varsity football season with a district win Friday when the Bulldogs host Winona.
Quitman faced off against district leader West Rusk on Friday and found out why the Raiders have not lost a district game.
West Rusk built a 28-0 halftime lead.
Quitman got on the board to open the second half, but West Rusk responded to make the lead 35-7 and scored two more times for a 49-7 win.
Winona has won a single district game, one more than Quitman. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m., and Quitman’s seniors will be honored.
