Quitman PD investigating child care
Quitman police are looking into allegations leveled against a local child day care operation on social media last week.
Police Chief John Farmer said the department received an intake report from Child Protective Services concerning some of the allegations that were made and is looking into them.
He said he had no further comment while the investigation is ongoing.
Among the allegations was that a worker kicked a small child’s nap mat, knocking the child off.
Other allegations included unsanitary conditions and out-of-date food within reach of children.
