The Pilot Club of Quitman has become a local program partner of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

This partnership makes it possible for every Alba-Golden, Quitman and Yantis  child, from birth to age five, to receive one free high-quality age appropriate book a month. 

Books will be mailed directly to the homes of the children signed up for the program, at no cost to families. 

“Our club members are thrilled to help young families thrive, with free books for their children that will prompt families to read books together. Reading supports early literacy, emotional bonding and opens children to a world of broad possibilities,” said club member Susan Ukleja. “This program falls squarely within our mission of brain health and safety, supporting youth and our community.

The Pilot Club invites every parent with children from birth to age five, living within the club’s sponsored zip codes, 75410, 75783 and 75497, to sign up their children for this free opportunity.

The program is a fabulous way for each child to build their own free library. They also look forward to receiving books in the mail each month, to build  anticipation and joy around the act of reading.
