Quitman Rotary sets blood drive

Quitman Rotary Club will host a blood drive with Carter BloodCare on Tuesday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quitman First United Methodist Church, 406 Lane St.

Photo ID is required. Donors may register at carterbloodcare.org.

Donors will receive a thank you beach towel.

The club hopes to schedule regular blood drives quarterly.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
