Quitman Young Farmers to host fall livestock show Saturday
Area 4-H and FFA students with a livestock project can practice and show off their skills at the Quitman Young Farmers/ FFA annual fall livestock show.
The show is set for Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Quitman FFA Show Pavilion.
Registration will be from 7 to 9 a.m. and the show begins at 10 a.m. There is a $20 entry fee per head.
Acceptable entries for the show are goats, sheep, commercial heifers, steers and breeding heifers. Ring one will consist of lambs and goats and will be judged by Chris Drews. Ring two features the commercial heifers, steers and breeding heifers and will be judged by Josh Owens.
There will be a $5 jackpot showmanship, junior is for 13 years old and under and senior is for 14 years old and over. There will be a Peewee category, which is free, for kids ages seven and under.
A concession stand will be available for those in attendance.
