Robert Cleveland Peppeard 1943-2023

Robert Cleveland Peppeard passed away Sept. 28, 2023 at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 27, 2023, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kilgore.

Robert was born in Shawnee, Okla. to Merrill Eanon Peppeard and Mildred Peacock Peppeard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill and Mildred Peppeard, and his brother, Allan Peppeard.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Smith Peppeard of Lake Devernia; son, Douglas and wife Shannon of St. Charles, Ill.; sister, Mary Margaret Peppeard of Tucson, Ariz.; stepson, Marc Chrietzberg and wife Melissa of Mineola; grandchildren, Keagan, Chloe, and Charlie; stepgrandson, Chris; and sister-in-law, Lynn Peppeard of Conroe.

Robert graduated from Mineola High School in 1962 and Texas Tech University in 1967 with a major in microbiology and a minor in chemistry. His work experience included NL Industries-Baroid Division for 15 years and Tretolite-Baker Petroleum Chemicals for 18 years. Robert’s hobbies included fishing, golf, softball, jogging, crossword puzzles and reading.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert
