RUSK-Funeral services for Rocky Coyd Clapp, 66, Rusk, relative of Mineola residents, were held July 25, 2016, at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Rusk with Rev. Tim Wade officiating.

Burial followed in Clapp Family Cemetery in Rusk.

Mr. Clapp died July 22, 2016 in Rusk. He was born June 12, 1953 to Bobbie Humphreys of Mineola and Delta Clapp, Rusk.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Gladys Clapp and stepfather, George Humphreys.

Survivors include his mother, Bobbie Humphreys, Mineola; father, Delta Clapp, Rusk; wife, Beverly Clapp, Athens; son, Rocky Coyd Clapp, II, Arlington; daughter, Shana Clark, Arlington; sisters, Charlotte Rose, Mineola, Odessa Carter, Rusk, Nora Humphreys, Mineola, Debra Dorman, Brownfield and Dixie Ellis, Rusk; brothers, Estes Clapp, Rusk and Jay Bowers, College Station and two grandchildren.

Special Olympics returns in style

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Come on over to Mineola’s beautiful Historic Select Theater and hear the Lake Country Symphonic Band’s Christmasy “Everything Christmas” concert.

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
