Sabine Stomp to help city mark sesquicentennial

It’s all hands on deck for one of the signature events of the Mineola sesquicentennial celebration – the Sabine Stomp ’23 at the Mineola Nature Preserve Saturday, Sept. 2.

The sesquicentennial committee is rounding up volunteers for the all-day musical event with headliners The Old 97s. The committee will meet weekly at 5:30 p.m. at Mineola City Hall beginning Tuesday, Aug. 8 and continuing through the concert.

Also on the bill are Cory Morrow, Josh Ward, Chris Colston, Blue Mudbone and Jennifer Pisarcik.

The gates will open at 3:30 p.m. with music set to begin at 4:30 on two stages.

Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the gate, and $10 for parking and can be purchased at:

VIP tickets are $150 in advance only.

There will be vendors and food.

Bring chairs and blankets.

No coolers or outside food or drink will be allowed, and no pets.

All proceeds will benefit the nature preserve, located at 1860 County Road 2724.
