Six candidates interviewing for top AGISD post
The Alba-Golden ISD Board of Trustees reorganized at a special meeting Tuesday, May 30. New board members Jessica Christian and Kristopher Quintana were welcomed to the board.
Additionally, the board unanimously approved the addition of Terry Clark to the board, to fill the recently vacated seat of Grant Sadler. Christian, Quintana and Clark were joined for the swearing-in by incumbent Brad Lennon, who was elected to another term.
Once reconstituted, the members elected Matt Haisten as president, Dwayne Ellis as vice president and Mike Ragsdale as secretary. Each position drew a single nomination, and all votes were unanimous.
The special meeting was called to reconstitute the board and deliberate in closed session regarding applications for the superintendent position.
Six applicants were chosen from a field of 22 to conduct interviews, scheduled June 5, 6 and 8.
The board will hold its regular meeting Monday, June 12.
