Southside church hosting health fair and fish fry

The Southside Church of Christ in Mineola will host a health fair Saturday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church at 527 Read St.

Patrons can get checked for blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol.

Vendors will be on hand with educational information and school supplies.

There will be a fish fry and water slides for the kids.

Doctors and nurses will be on hand along with ministerial students from Southwestern Christian College in Terrell.

Symphonic band presents Christmas concert

Concerts are Sunday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. and Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, at 7:30 p.m. Mike Holbrook is back in the director’s seat, so it’s sure to be a fun-filled couple of hours.
