Wood County commissioners postponed the approval of the Bass Acres Phase III subdivision between Golden and Cottonwood Friday, pending receipt of all required documents.

They also took the following actions:

Approved the trade in of three vehicles, a 2016 Ford Explorer, 2018 Chevrolet 1500 pickup and 2013 Ford F-150 pickup for a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 pickup.

The following personnel changes were acknowledged:

Sheriff’s office resignations from jailer Misty Joiner and deputy Jim Rapp

Hired Emma McCalla as jailer

Promoted Michael Gilmore from jailer to jail sergeant

Reclassified Kari Perkins from administrative assistant to commissioners court and grants coordinator.

Continued the county grant for another year with the Meals on Wheels program.

Renewed the contract with Ronnie Stuard of Pittsburg to serve as the designated representative for the county for onsite sewage operations.

Agreed to request proposals for the Lake Hawkins RV park lease.

Declared October as domestic violence awareness month.
