Coach Hardy’s Baseball and Softball Camp upcoming
Quitman High School's Head Baseball Coach, Hayland Hardy, will hold his 17th annual baseball and softball camp June 4, 5 and 6. This year it will benefit Kyle and Jessica Pugh and their son Knox, who Hardy said was born weighing only 1.4 pounds.
Hardy said that the suggested price for the camp is $30 and that if possible participants should bring their own bat and glove.
Incoming first, second and third graders will participate from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The camp for incoming fourth through sixth graders will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the session for incoming seventh through ninth graders will be from 11:30a to 1:30 p.m. each of the days at Tom Brady Field.
For more information or to pre-register call 903-967-3136 and leave a message that includes the camper's name and shirt size or registration may be accomplished the day of the camp.
On Friday of the event organizers will sell food and drinks to be included in the benefit.
"All proceeds will go directly to the Pugh family," the coach said.
