Thomas William McQueen

Funeral services for Thomas William McQueen, 82, were held last Friday at Beaty Funeral Home in Mineola with Bro. Merle Parker officiating.

Burial was held in the Holland Family Cemetery in Yantis.

Mr. McQueen passed away February 19, 2013 in Quitman.

He was born March 6, 1930 in Yantis, Texas to the late William and Ruby McQueen. He was a small engine mechanic and attended Central Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors. He was always giving “good” advice.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters; six brothers, five sisters and one grandchild.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Thelma McQueen of Mineola, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Ava McQueen of Hawkins, and Mike and Susan McQueen of Quitman; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Mitchell White of Mineola; three brothers, Willie Earl McQueen and wife Nannie Jo of Emory, Texas, Connie McQueen of Emory and Russell McQueen and wife Helen of Arkansas; four sisters, Dorothy Isernia and husband John, Kay Roberts of Wills Point, Texas, Kathy Turner of Greenville, Texas and Maggie West of Grand Prairie, Texas; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
