The fifth annual Tips for Tots, put on by the Wood County Child Protection Board, is planned Monday, Aug. 5 from 4-8 p.m. at A.J.’s Fish House in Alba.
Celebrity waitresses and waiters will be working hard for tips to help fund the child board’s activities in support of children under the supervision and care of Child Protective Services.
There will also be an auction, raffle and bake sale.
Programs include an initial clothing allowance of $100 per child, $200 per child for back-to-school clothing and supplies, an average $200 per child for Christmas wish list items and a party, an age-appropriate monthly allowance, $25 per child birthday money, special requests to help provide a normal life for these children, and maintenance of the Rainbow Room, a 24-hour emergency clothing facility.
Sponsors are also being sought for the event.
