Funeral services for Tommie Elizabeth Spann, 17, of Mineola, were Tuesday at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola with Brother Nick Kerry officiating. Services were under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home, Alba. Burial was at Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Cemetery, Golden.
Tommie passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in Golden.
She was born March 27, 2002, in Alexandria, La., to John Brody and Amanda Lola Burnett Spann. Tommie was a sophomore at Alba-Golden High School and was involved in FFA, softball, basketball, and cross-country. She was a member of numerous clubs, including the Student Council.
Survivors include her parents, Brody and Amanda Spann of Mineola; brothers, Bryce Spann of Mineola and Caleb Spann of Mineola; grandparents, Roger and wife Stephana Spann of Arlington, Trina Spann of North Richland Hills, Richard and wife Tina Burnett of Rosepine, La., and Inita Maricle of Leesville, La.; great-grandmother, Peggy Spann of Mineola; and aunts and uncles.
Tommie was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Delmar Spann; great-grandparents, Alfred and Tommie Burnett James; and great-grandparents, Hubert and Eddie (T.D.) Maricle.
