UT-Tyler’s Tidwell to present lecture on non-profits Sept. 12

Dr. Michael Tidwell, president of the University of Texas – Tyler, will present a lecture titled “A Social Identity Model of Prosocial Behaviors within Nonprofit Organizations” on Sept. 12 at the Woman’s Building at 911 S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler.

Tidwell’s lecture is one of three scheduled under the Our Nonprofit Leadership Lecture series hosted by the East Texas Center for Non Profits – Smith County United Way. The series will provide a unique learning opportunity, networking, and a Q&A time with each presenter.

Other presenters will include Ted Talk speaker Jonathan Fanning on “Creative Leadership: Building a Culture of Innovation” on Oct. 16 and Suzanne Smith on “Collaboration as a Key to Success in the 21st Century” on Nov. 13.
