Iron Horse planners at The Mineola Chamber of Commerce have ramped up the event significantly for 2016 with well-known music acts, a chili cook-off, horseshoe tournament, train rides, children’s activities and more booths and vendors.

This years’ Iron Horse festival will feature free performances from Rafael Espinoza and his Rockabilly Railroad band, singer song-writer Heather Little, America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Kadie Lynn and country singer Chris Colston.

This year the main stage will be set up next to the freshly painted caboose on Commerce Street and will be facing west. Dance Dimensions from Mineola will also be performing. Concert guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and this year BYOB coolers will be allowed for those that donate $10 for a special cooler tag available onsite.

Dance Dimensions will take the stage 3-4 p.m., Rafael Espinoza and his Rockabilly Railroad band performs 4-5:30 p.m., singer song-writer Heather Little plays at 6-7 p.m., America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Kadie Lynn performs 7-8 p.m. and country artist Chris Colston performs 8-9:30 p.m.

Contact the Chamber office for more information. Admission is free and hours for the festival are 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
