December 22

Deputy Jeff Baldwin was dispatched to a possible runaway with disabilities. The individual was located by a neighbor.

Deputy Jonah Croney was notified of a suspicious circumstance on PR 5567. The party stated they returned home to find a circular shaped hole cut out of their window. An incident report was filed for insurance purposes.

Deputy Andrew Morrison and Sgt. Austin Milbourn did a welfare check on several children at a residence on PR 5174. CPS received a notification on the children and needed law enforcement to check on them. The parents were then informed they needed to contact CPS for follow-up.

Deputy Andrew Rapp took a theft report on Branding Iron Lane. The party stated he had several transactions on his credit card that he did not authorize. There is a possible suspect in the case. The Criminal Investigation Division (CID) will be doing further review.

Deputy Rapp went to PR 6603 for an animal incident. The party said her dog was attacked by a stray dog. Since she has fed the dog and allowed it to stay in her garage, it will be her responsibility.

Deputy Morrison patrolled the area of FM 2966 for a suspicious vehicle pulling up to houses in the area.

Deputy Rapp was in the area of FM 2966 for a shots fired report. Rapp spoke with the individuals doing the shooting, and they were shooting in a safe manner, but they said they would stop while their neighbor was outside.

On Dec. 22, deputies took four stray animal calls and three assist other agency calls.

December 23

Deputy Melissa Pollard responded to PR 7521 in Hawkins for a disturbance in progress. The party stated he heard a disturbance outside his residence and saw a male leave the location. He walked down to the apartment where the disturbance occurred and found a woman laying on the ground. The woman would not cooperate with law enforcement, but the male subject came back to the location. Due to the injuries on both parties, Richard Dean Guillot, 41, of Holly Lake Ranch, was arrested for assault causes bodily injury – family violence.

Deputy Rapp was informed of a dead cow in a pasture on S FM 17. A neighbor stated several animals have died on the property, in the past, due to malnourishment. The incident was reported for future reference.

Sgt.  Milbourn and Deputy Rapp took a disturbance call on CR 4494. They spoke with numerous people on scene. Christopher James Beckham, 36, of Leesburg, was arrested for assault by contact – family violence and resist arrest/search/transport.

Deputy Rapp took a phone report of a sexual assault that had occurred several years ago. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison had a report of damaged property on Hwy. 154. The party stated a truck and trailer caused damage to her drive way. She wished to have an incident report filed for insurance purposes.

Deputy Morrison and Sgt. Investigator Miles Tucker served a warrant on Ron Neal, 48, of Yantis for assault causes bodily injury on elderly – family violence.

Deputy Rapp was dispatched to CR 3599 for a call regarding unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. The victim advised the suspect claimed she had left her purse in his vehicle. Once inside the vehicle, the suspect drove off without the owner’s consent. A report was forwarded to CID.

Deputy Morrison took a harassment report on CR 1802. It was advised two juvenile females were having issues with each other. The mothers of both girls were spoken to, and they advised they will handle the situation.

Deputy Jonah Croney served a warrant on Joe Cole on CR 4930.

Deputy Morrison took a phone report from an individual who stated she received a phone call from someone claiming her grandson was in jail in Mexico. She was informed it was a scam.

Deputy Morrison spoke with an individual who wanted her grandson’s girlfriend removed from the property. She was advised it was a civil matter and she would have to take the appropriate measures to handle it.

On Dec. 23, deputies took five stray animal calls, three assist other agency calls and one emergency detention warrant transports.

December 24

Deputy Matthew Cooper responded to a suspicious person at a business on Hwy. 154. Cooper found a man sleeping on the floor. When he woke him up to speak with him, Cooper noticed several indicators of being under the influence. William Chris Alston, 44, of Winfield, Ala. was arrested for public intoxication.

Deputy Brad Cox took a report of damaged property. The party stated she and her boyfriend got into a fight the previous evening. When she woke up this morning, she observed damage to her residence. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Croney was notified of a subject violating a protective order. Sgt. Corbin Hanner and Deputy Pollard also went to the location. They spoke with the victim and a witness who advised the person who has a protective order against them has been harassing them and chasing them in his vehicle. Russell Lee Nipp, 36, of Emory, was arrested for violation of a bond/protective order with two or more previous convictions.

Deputy Brad Cox was sent to the UT Health Emergency Room in Quitman for a dog bite. The victim stated she was taking a neighbor a gift when the neighbor’s dogs bit her. The dog owner was able to provide vaccination records and the dog is in quarantine for 10 days.

On Dec. 24, deputies responded to one assist other agency call.

December 25

Deputy Cox received a call regarding a theft. The party stated he had some belongings on his father’s property. When his father passed, his sister and brother-in-law continued to live in the residence. The party believes they cut the lock off his storage building and took some of the items inside. They were advised this would be a civil issue and would need to handle it as such.

Deputy Cole Hudson went to the Winnsboro Emergency Room regarding a dog bite. The reporting party stated they were bitten by a relative’s dog. The report was filed for future reference and the dog was put in quarantine for 10 days. The dog owner believed the dog was up to date on all its shots and is to provide record of vaccinations.

Deputy Jeff Baldwin spoke with an individual on CR 2689 regarding an assault. Baldwin spoke with parties on scene. The case will be forwarded to CID.

Deputy Cooper had a phone report regarding an animal bite. The party stated her dog accidentally bit her.

Deputy Jim Rapp had a request to speak regarding an altercation that occurred the previous night. A criminal trespass warning was issued for the location.

On Dec. 25, deputies responded to one stray animal call and four assist other agency calls.

December 26

Deputy Cole Hudson responded to CR 4354 for an assault after the fact. The party stated her sons had gotten into an altercation. Neither party wished to file charges and agreed to separate for the time being.

Sgt. Heather Bailey was dispatched to the UT Health Emergency Room in Quitman for a dog bite. The party stated her roommate’s dog and her dog were playing outside. The dogs began fighting and she reached in to break up the fight. She was bitten while trying to break it up. The dog will be quarantined for 10 days and is up to date on all its vaccinations.

Deputy Cooper and Sgt. Jaclyn Skinner responded to FM 14 for a welfare concern. An individual was found sitting on the bridge. They denied any thoughts of self-harm and refused a ride home.

On Dec. 26, deputies responded to two stray animal calls and two assist other agency calls.  

December 27

Deputy Croney had a request to speak regarding a disturbance. While speaking with the victim, he went to the residence on FM 2225. While speaking with individuals on scene, he was given numerous different stories as to what happened. The victim did not want to press charges, so Deputy Croney filed the case as an incident report.

Deputy Andrew Rapp was dispatched to PR 6365 for a welfare check. The party stated her granddaughter was being abused by the granddaughter’s mother. Rapp was able to see the granddaughter and did not observe any visible injuries.

Deputy Morrison and Sgt. Milbourn responded to PR 6482 for a disturbance in progress. The victim stated her son broke a television and then began assaulting her. Andrew Scott Wilson, 28, of Mineola was arrested for assault family/household member with previous convictions.

Deputy Cooper was on routine patrol when he observed a vehicle with an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted, and Deputy Cooper spoke with the occupants of the vehicle. While speaking with the passenger, it was admitted there were illegal narcotics in the vehicle. Charlotte Mae Robinson, 48, of Lindale was arrested for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance penalty group one more than one gram but less than four grams.

On Dec. 27, deputies responded to five stray animal calls and three assist other agency calls.

December 28

Deputy Morrison was sent to CR 3147 for a dispute. The party said her husband had gotten rid of several livestock animals when she didn’t want to. She was advised that it was a civil issue and she would need to contact her attorney.

Deputy Andrew Rapp was dispatched to CR 1613 in reference to illegal burning. The party stated his neighbor was burning things he felt would be contaminating an underground water source. The case will be sent to the litter abatement officer.

Deputy Bonnie Sepulvado and Sgt. Milbourn investigated a case of animal cruelty. They were advised a dog was abandoned on the landowner’s property. The dog had an injury that resulted in its demise. The case will be further investigated.

Deputy Croney was on routine patrol on FM 2966 when he observed a wounded deer in the roadway. It was believed the deer had been struck by a vehicle. The game warden was notified.

Deputy Cooper responded to CR 3270 for a suicidal subject. The subject voluntarily went with EMS for evaluation.

Deputy Pollard had a death investigation on Tall Timber Lane. The funeral home and justice of the peace were notified.

Deputy Andrew Morrison was dispatched to Hwy. 11 for an assault. The party stated she and her estranged husband had gotten into an altercation. The case will be submitted for further investigation.

Deputy Andrew Rapp took a scam report from an individual who stated she received a phone call advising her grandson was arrested. She was told it was a scam and she didn’t give any information.

Deputy Rapp and Sgt. Milbourn responded to CR 3870 for a disturbance in progress. They spoke to both parties. Neither wished to press charges and were separated. The report will be kept on file for future reference.

On Dec. 28, deputies responded to six estray animal calls and four assist other agency calls.
