July 5

Deputies, suicidal subject, Hawkins; caller on phone with husband who had gun, subject fled scene in vehicle. Deputies located subject which began short pursuit. When subject pulled over, placed gun to his head. After lengthy deescalation, subject surrendered, transport to receive treatment.

Deputy Smith, traffic stop, FM 14; located crystal-like substance, subject arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Cpl. Cooper, criminal trespass; caller advised ex-wife at residence, refused to leave, issued criminal trespass warning.

July 6

Deputy Pollard, theft, Hwy. 154; store clerk advised someone filled up car, did not pay, clerk provided license plate.

Deputy Smith, suicidal subject, FM 312; dispatch contacted OnStar, tracked vehicle in another county. Deputies contacted subject, advised he was OK. 

Deputy Way, Deputy Smith, disturbance, FM 779; victim advised ex-boyfriend would not let her leave, grabbed her when she tried to call 911. Deputies contacted suspect by phone due to leaving scene, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Rapp, unauthorized use of motor vehicle, Hwy. 154; victim advised person used vehicle without permission. Deputies unable contact suspect, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Williams, burglary, CR 1895; victim’s camper had damage around door, did not appear to be broken into, case forwarded to investigations.

July 7

Deputy Whisenhunt, burglary, CR 2140; victim advised only thing missing was TV.

Deputies, burglary, Hwy. 154; store clerk advised someone broke into ice machine, stole ice, will provide repair cost, video of incident.

Cpl. Burdick, assault, CR 3580; victim advised husband grabbed her by neck in argument, did not wish to pursue charges, CPS contacted due to children in house.

July 8

Cpl. Baldwin, theft, FM 49; victim advised truck stolen during night, neighbors saw someone driving it off property. 

Deputy Rapp, burglary, CR 3880; someone broke into vehicle, attempted to remove radio. 

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance; victim’s landlords kicked him out of house, turned off power and water. When victim tried to turn power back on, assaulted by one landlord. Cynthia Meyer received citation for assault.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Hughes, disturbance, CR 1590; victim advised ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend came to residence, kicked in door, suspects, denied kicking in door, though there was damage, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

July 9

Deputy Hughes, structure fire, CR 2503; deputy discovered victim had active warrant. Dewain Carr arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputy Rapp, burglary, CR 1600; victim advised person came to house in police uniform and police car that said State Park Police, told him he needed to leave residence. When victim returned home, house had been burglarized, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, Cpl. Burdick, possible child abuse; mother stated there were marks on child that may be from abuse.  Case forwarded to investigations due to child advising she was hit by father.

July 10 

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, criminal trespass, Private Road 5804; male trespassed from property several months prior was on property; suspect Glenn Smith arrested for criminal trespass.

Deputy Pollard, Deputy Kovic, disturbance, CR 3689; victim’s wife unplugged air conditioner, acting hostile. When victim tried to plug in AC, suspect kicked him. Cynthia Meyer arrested for assault.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, alarm, Yantis; male and female advised they were messing with coin machine at business. Deputies unable to contact business owner.

July 11

Sgt. Williams, accident, FM 515; victim thought he hit deer, it was a donkey. Later, horse was out in same area, placed in pasture nearby.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Way, shots fired; the night before a vehicle stopped by caller’s residence, heard gunshots near residence next day. Deputies did not locate any evidence of shots being fired. 

Deputy Way, caller advised tenant is a felon, carries firearm, property owner also believes suspect’s storage building has stolen items. 

Deputy Arellano, assault, Mineola; victim and mother got into argument, he had visible bruising. CPS contacted, offense report completed.
