July 19

Cpl. Croney, animal bite, CR 2176; citation for failure to vaccinate.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Smith, EMS assist; male had fallen 30’ to the ground. EMS confirmed subject deceased.

Sgt. Williams; someone tried to solicit victims over social media. Deputies awaiting information from other victim, case forwarded to investigations.

July 20

Deputy Pollard, theft; victim allowed friend at residence over the weekend, when he came home, money missing with other items, provided possible suspects.

Cpl. Croney, theft, Hwy. 80; victim’s ex-husband took some cattle, tried to hit her with vehicle. Witnesses stated female stood in front of suspect’s truck so he drove through fence.

Sgt. Morrison, theft; someone stole vehicle the victim and mother are sharing, victim was told it was civil issue due to vehicle being shared. 

Cpl. Rapp, disturbance, Holly Lake Ranch; victim advised male pointed firearm at her; witnesses stated nothing became physical, male did not point firearm at anyone.

July 21

Deputy Rapp, theft, Private Road 6953; family member possibly stole items from victim’s residence, did not have serial numbers for missing items.

Deputy Hughes, disturbance, FM 1795; one victim stated suspect came at her in aggressive manner, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Rapp, criminal mischief, CR 1301, owner believes neighbor coming onto property, messing with boat, incident report completed.

Cpl. Burdick, illegal dumping, Private Road 7908; located possible suspect, case forwarded to the environmental deputy.

July 22

Deputy Kovic, shooting victim at ER; parties advised shooter did not believe gun was loaded, was accidental. 17-year-old male treated. Incident occurred on CR 3229.

Deputy Rapp, Deputy Kovic, 911 hang-up. Dispatch could hear arguing in background; female victim had injuries consistent with assault, would not let deputies on property.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Rapp, welfare concern, FM 17; subject advised she had no food, water or place to go. Deputies transported to shelter for assistance.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Hughes, disturbance, Yantis; female and friend got into argument, he slapped her in the face. Christopher Winkle arrested for assault.

Deputy Hughes, deadly conduct, Lake Hawkins; suspect advised people near boat ramp began mouthing at him, he retrieved gun for self-defense, report completed, given to CID.

Sgt. Mayer stolen vehicle, CR 1676; when she came home from hospital, vehicle missing. Deputies located vehicle, returned it.

Deputy Hughes, burglary, CR 2166; homeowner found multiple items missing, case forwarded to investigations.

July 23

Deputies, disturbance, Holiday Village; subjects advised they had separated, both wanted custody of vehicle they shared. Parties advised to settle argument or take issue to court, vehicle towed due to driver not having keys.

Deputies, disturbance, CR 3250; owner advised someone staying with him threatened to harm dog if it attacked again, owner told male to leave, picked up by friend.

July 24 

Deputy Pollard, criminal mischief, Yantis; two vehicles had shattered back windows, knife stuck in tire, case forwarded to investigations.

Cpl. Croney, illegal burning, Hwy. 154; fire appeared to be controlled burn, observed subject burning illegal items, fire department contacted to put out fire, report completed for fire marshal. 

Sgt. Williams, assault, Winnsboro ER; victim at Lake Winnsboro when one to three people came up behind him, hit him with gun, offense report completed.

Deputy Pollard, theft; caller received charge on Walmart account that he did not approve. Deputy retrieved suspect’s name and address where items were sent.

July 25

Cpl. Croney, Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, CR 3811; parties advised argument was verbal, no offense occurred. Deputies learned Jordan Coyne had active warrant, placed in custody.

Cpl. Croney, criminal trespass; caller’s ex-wife came onto property, entered residence to retrieve kids, suspect did not own property or have permission to enter residence, suspect criminally trespassed, offense report completed.

Sgt. Williams assisted Alba PD to stay with two children while deputy spoke with both parties. One of the parents arrested for assault.
