October 18

Deputy Skinner, burglary, Hwy. 11; property owner advised multiple tools, house items stolen from residence again, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputies, suspicious circumstance, Hwy. 80; caller located multiple items around church, across street that didn’t belong. Deputies located address on one item, no one at residence. 

Cpl. Rapp, theft, Holly Lake Ranch; caller could see someone stealing items off golf cart, no items appeared to be taken, golf cart not visible from homeowner’s location, caller refused medical treatment. 

October 19

Deputy Way, stolen vehicle, CR 4700; someone showed up in truck, stole caller’s vehicle, had been behind on payments, working to get them repaid, vehicle entered as stolen.

Deputies, missing elder, Holly Lake Ranch; security advised man had been missing over an hour, located behind residence, checked out by EMS.

Cpl. Burdick, male riding bike in middle of road with no lights, refused to identify, attempted to ride away, as deputy attempted to detain male, he threw set of keys, striking him; Hanif Khan arrested for resisting arrest, assault on public servant.

Deputy Haley, motorist assist, Hwy. 80; driver had hit deer, contacted AAA. Deputy gave driver, passenger courtesy ride to residence.

October 20

Deputy Cato, disturbance, CR 3843; caller believed neighbor pointed gun at him, neighbor advised he was pointing cell phone at neighbor during argument, deputies located firearm on subject, did not match description victim gave.

Cpl. Smith, animal bite, FM 3056; caller stated cat bit her granddaughter which broke skin, cat will be quarantined. 

October 21

Cpl. Croney, disturbance, CR 2375; victim advised during argument, son grabbed, pushed her, victim did not wish to pursue charges.

Sgt. Williams, shots fired, CR 1960; employee advised they got into argument with male who fled scene, then they heard multiple gunshots, suspect identified, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Haley, disturbance, CR 4510; caller advised brother who had been drinking hit her daughter, fled scene, offense report completed for assault, suspect also busted out vehicle windshield, vehicle owner did not wish to pursue charges.

October 22

Cpl. Croney, animal bite, CR 2297; victim stated he was walking when neighbor’s dog bit him. Deputies located dog at residence, vaccines not up to date, dog will be quarantined until taken to vet. 

Cpl. Croney, burglary, FM 2659; property owner advised back door to residence open, multiple tools missing, incident report completed.

Cpl. Croney, burglary, FM 14, property owner had not been to residence in a month, noticed front door unlocked, a few items missing, incident report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, criminal mischief, CR 2163; when victim went outside, noticed someone cut all four tires on vehicle, provided possible suspect. 

As Sgt. Morrison was leaving previous call, observed person walking who he knew to have active warrant, fled on foot. Michael Robbins taken into custody for active warrant.

October 23 

Deputies, disturbance, Jarvis; victim advised sister pushed her, threatened her. Deputies located weapons on suspect, who was transported to Juvenile Detention Center.

Deputy George, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance. David McCormack located, arrested for outstanding warrant.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Way, Quitman ER, suspicious circumstance; female was brought into ER with large laceration, did not know how she got it, victim’s son received picture from victim of laceration, transported her to ER. Investigations notified.

October 24

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Skinner checked out with female, CR 2110; wanting to make report, changed her mind. Deputies believed Karye Smith under influence of narcotics, admitted to using narcotics recently, arrested for public intoxication.

Deputy Comeaux, shots fired, CR 2922; deputies located individual who was shooting, believed shooting was in safe manner, male asked to stop for night due to festival taking place near him.

Lt. Kovic, Deputy Comeaux, disturbance, CR 2210; car pulled up in caller’s driveway with three people, when she and her son went outside to tell people to leave, they assaulted her son, victim transported by EMS to receive treatment.
