December 13

Deputy Skinner, request to speak; caller advised subject released from prison in Alabama, worried male might be coming to his address. Parole advised caller the male cut off ankle bracelet, they were unaware of subject’s location. Extra patrol set up for residence, surrounding area agencies notified in attempt to locate subject.

Deputy Skinner, theft, FM 2869, victim left tools sitting out while he ran errands, when he came back, tools were gone, victim provided footage of suspect and vehicle.

Cpl. Rapp took a theft UUMV several weeks prior; vehicle owner called back, still unable to contact suspect to return vehicle, entered as stolen.

Sgt. Mayer assisted Quitman PD, shots fired; while victim was driving down road, vehicle fired round, hitting truck, victim had previous encounter.

Sgt. Mayer, Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, pursuit. Hopkins County had pursuit coming into Wood County, ended in Winnsboro PD’s parking lot, male and female taken into custody.

December 14

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, follow up on previous theft; deputy contacted male who admitted taking items from residence, believed items were laid out as free, all items returned to owner.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, suspicious circumstance; caller stated there was large hole in floor, she didn’t know how it happened. While speaking with caller, deputies observed black bag on bed, when victim unzipped bag, deputy observed crystal-like substance. Angela Taylor arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Deputy Haley, civil issue, CR 1562; victim’s neighbor backed into vehicle, while deputy was speaking with victim, neighbor came over intoxicated, began arguing with victim, Christopher Starrett arrested for public intoxication.

December 15 

Investigator Perkins, assault; victim advised boss grabbed him by shirt at top of stairs causing him to fall down stairs, suffered injury to back, offense report completed.

Cpl. Smith, Deputy Rich, intoxicated driver; male just left residence intoxicated, located suspect, James Earl, placed in custody for DWI.

Sgt. Williams, Deputy Cato, disturbance, CR 1562; caller advised neighbor kept revving vehicle during the night, caller contacted neighbor who struck him in face. Kenneth Beaver arrested for assault.

December 16

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, disturbance, Alba; male began chasing victim with shovel, deputies contacted male who they believe was hallucinating due to lack of sleep, victim did not wish to pursue charges, male transported by EMS for treatment.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, possible stolen vehicle, FM 2869; deputy stopped vehicle, Mystical Adams found to have active warrant, arrested, vehicle released to owner, during vehicle inventory, deputies located crystal-like substance, driver charged with possession of controlled substance.

Deputy Rich, disturbance, Yantis; victim stated no assault occurred between her and husband but he left in vehicle intoxicated, trooper investigated vehicle accident where driver fled on foot, deputies located missing driver who was suspect in this call. Eain Battles arrested for DWI.

December 17

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, Deputy Wade, warrant service, CR 2119; Henry Ramos arrested for outstanding warrant.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, Deputy Wade, disturbance, Holiday Village; victim advised male chased her in vehicle, pointed gun at her, deputies located suspect, checked for weapons, did not have one. Due to victim’s story being inconsistent, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Cato, suspicious vehicle, CR 2320; after contacting driver and passenger, determined passenger gave false information; deputy learned passenger was runaway juvenile on probation. Juvenile Probation contacted, juvenile returned home.

December 18

Sgt. Cox, Deputy George, disturbance, CR 2153; caller stated she had permission to be at residence to retrieve property stolen from her, while there she was pushed down by suspect, dog bit her, caller wished to pursue charges, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy George, suicidal subject, FM 779; friend sent caller texts that concerned her, deputies contacted subject who made suicidal statements multiple times, victim transported by EMS for treatment.

Deputy George, request to speak; caller bought vehicle without title, someone contacting him to pay for title, caller advised to speak with person who sold vehicle. 

December 19

Cpl. Rapp, incident report, Private Road 5675; when property owner came home, observed front door wide open, has not found anything missing.

Cpl. Rapp, criminal trespass, CR 3909; someone went into caller’s bedroom, moved items around, residence set up for extra patrol.

Deputy Haley, criminal mischief; male drove by victim’s house, shined laser in her eye causing pain, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Way, agency assist, Mineola. Mineola PD advised they had structure fire, occupants being combative, uncooperative. Upon deputy’s arrival, subject began to cooperate.
