Deputy Whisenhunt, theft, FM 14; caller observed large amount of money missing from safe, believes his wife took money, not returning calls, offense report completed. 

Deputies, agency assist, Hunt and Van Zandt County; assistance requested locating male with federal conspiracy charges, deputies located, arrested suspect.

January 18

Deputies continued searching for missing man on CR 3144, last seen riding mower which has also not been found, Investigations Division working to locate subject.

Deputies, structure fire, CR 2169; caller advised his mother was still inside residence, he was unable to get her out, autopsy ordered for victim.

Deputies performed warrant service, FM 2966. Frank Deck arrested for outstanding warrant.

January 19

Deputy Skinner, theft, Hwy. 37; trailer stolen from residence, entered as stolen.

Sgt. Cox, scam; caller advised male told him he could take out loan with him, he paid the male some money for the loan, caller has never received any money, getting threats from suspect, offense report completed.

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Comeaux, criminal trespass call, CR 4200; male came to caller’s house requesting money she owed him, victim has been making payments but he became upset, caller wished to criminally trespass male from residence.

January 20

Deputy Skinner, suspicious circumstance, CR 3955; portable building had been shot, round went into piano, deputies spoke with neighbors who denied shooting in that area.

Sgt. Cox, Cpl. Rapp, child locked in car; caller locked keys in car with child inside. Winnsboro fire and police unlocked vehicle.

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Skinner, Deputy Comeaux, welfare check, CR 1540; caller’s son having mental issues, needed to be checked out, male fled into woods, deputies unable to locate him.

January 21

Deputy Skinner, theft, FM 2869; caller’s ex showed up at residence, during argument he pushed her, victim advised she slapped him in self-defense, deputies contacted ex-boyfriend who advised the caller hit him in face, he would like to press charges.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, Wood County Jail inmate causing issues; jailer advised while inmate was acting up, he assaulted her, attempted to take her taser, offense report completed.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Haley, Deputy Way, agency assist, Mineola. Mineola PD advised disturbance in progress, two subjects fled a vehicle behind residence, deputies unable to locate subjects.

January 22 

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, assault, FM 14; unknown subject struck victim in face, deputies learned she was hearing voices, they caused her to strike herself, victim transported to receive treatment.

Deputy Cato, theft, CR 1540; dirt bike stolen from residence.

Sgt. Morrison, warrant service, CR 1688; Frances Clark arrested for outstanding warrant, inside jail, officers located bag containing crystal-like substance, he was also charged with prohibited substance in correctional facility.

January 23

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, burglary, FM 17; property owner advised multiple items stolen from shed and neighbor’s shed, neighbor did not wish to pursue charges.

Cpl. Smith, suspicious person, Hwy. 37; deputy observed female walking in lane of traffic, gave courtesy transport.

Lt. Kovic, stalking; caller advised daughter received messages on computer stating someone was watching her, caller has had issues with suspicious people in their yard previously, incident report completed.
