January 24
Deputy Skinner, request to speak; caller wanted welfare check on friend due to being assaulted, victim advised she did not need welfare check.
Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, oil spill, Hwy. 37; property owner advised oil well spilling oil into pond, appropriate agencies contacted to get leak fixed.
Deputy Comeaux, burglary, CR 2150; someone entered house, caused damage, took several items, case forwarded to investigations.
January 25
Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, illegal dumping, CR 2297; caller paid someone to cut down trees, took wood without permission, cut down other trees, dumped on property.
Deputies, traffic hazard, Hwy. 37; truck driver attempted to turn around, got stuck, deputies performed traffic control until truck removed.
Deputy Way, counterfeit money, CR 3440; store owner received counterfeit bill, provided suspect who advised she received bill earlier in day from male, neither party wished to pursue charges.
January 26
Cpl. Rapp, fraud, CR 2351; victim paid someone money for supplies, never received them.
Cpl. Rapp, disturbance; caller advised she was leaving residence with her daughter after she had been assaulted, deputies unable to locate victim, notified nearby shelters that she might be en route.
Sgt. Williams, Deputy Cato, disturbance, FM 852; victim assaulted by boyfriend who was leaving residence, deputies located suspect, Austin Edwards, arrested for assault.
Cpl. Smith, traffic stop, Mineola; vehicle driving with no headlights, driver’s speech slurred, sobriety tests completed, Ramundo Apoderado arrested for DWI.
January 27
Sgt. Williams, suicidal subject, Holly Lake Ranch; victim advised she had taken multiple pills, transported by EMS to receive treatment.
Cpl. Smith, traffic stop, CR 2221; observed driver to possibly be impaired, sobriety tests conducted, Randi Reed arrested for DWI.
Deputy Whisenhunt, criminal trespass; caller’s neighbor came onto property claiming he stole her dog, deputies learned neighbor suffers from dementia, she did not pose harm to herself.
January 28
Cpl. Croney, animal welfare concern; observed several dogs on property with water, shelter but no food, residence to be checked again.
Cpl. Smith, Deputy Rich, reckless driver, CR 1681; Allen Hinson arrested for DWI.
Sgt. Williams, suspicious activity, Yantis; caller needed deputy to clear house, believes someone keeps breaking in, deputies searched residence, did not locate anyone.
January 29
Sgt. Cox, damaged property, CR 1418; property owner advised someone entered residence, caused damage to multiple items, case forwarded to investigations.
Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, theft of service; victim paid someone to fix garage door, has not heard from them in several weeks.
Deputy Comeaux, gunshot victim, Quitman ER; victim cleaning a gun when it went off, shot him in the hand.
January 30
Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, welfare check; female physically unable to care for herself, needed help moving around, EMS checked out patient, refused transport, APS contacted.
Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Rapp, abandoned vehicle, CR 2724; deputies checked on vehicle four days prior, had not been removed, vehicle towed.
Deputy Comeaux, warrant service, Adult Probation; Hunter Woods arrested for outstanding warrant.
