March 6

Sgt. Cox, animal complaint, CR 1970; caller saw goat jump out of truck, it is at her house. Deputies unable to locate goat owner.

Cpl. Rapp, missing person; caller has not spoken with daughter since November, lives in vehicle in Dallas area, entered as missing.

Deputy Haley, cows out, Private Road 5475; cows on property, had been previously. Deputies unable to locate cow owner.

March 7

Cpl. Rapp, vandalism, CR 1987; someone vandalized two RV park signs. 

Cpl. Smith, assault, Lake Fork; victim advised his boat got too close to another one, driver struck him with fishing pole, also cut by lure, case forwarded to investigations.

Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Way, disturbance, CR 1700; victim’s grandfather assaulted her, threatened her with screw driver, suspect fled on foot when he realized law enforcement was called. Deputies located suspect, William Woods, in pasture nearby, placed in custody for assault.

March 8

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, warrant service, CR 1917; Thomas Bruce arrested for outstanding warrant.

Deputy Cato, Mineola PD, agency assist; Mineola PD arrested subject with active warrant, deputy transported to jail.

Deputies, medical call, CR 4430; male subject found unresponsive on floor. Deputies learned male was in a physical altercation with another male at different location. After fight, male located deceased in his residence.

Deputies, theft, Hwy. 80; gaming console missing, believe land lord took it, offense report completed.

Deputy Chris, fraud, CR 2263; victim’s ex-girlfriend took out loans, rented items in his name from store, will provide proper documents, offense report to be completed.

March 9

Deputy George, theft, FM 778; property owner returned from business trip, observed utility trailer missing, trailer information provided, entered as stolen.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy George, suspicious circumstance, FM 49; deputies located male who appeared to be under the influence, admitted having prescription bottle with methamphetamine inside. Jason Jones arrested for possession of controlled substance.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, dog bite, Private Road 8574; two victims advised they were attacked by same dog, dog detained, taken to Sheriff’s Office, contact made with dog owner concerning incident.

Sgt. Williams, Cpl. Burdick, harassment, CR 4430; one of the subjects, Jeffrey Salisbury, had active warrant, placed in custody.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, disturbance, CR 3580. Both parties fled scene prior to deputies’ arrival, wife went looking for husband who left in different vehicle intoxicated, involved in a major one-vehicle accident in another county. 

March 10

Deputy Cato, theft, CR 4505; victim advised firearm stolen from vehicle, victim had no identifying information for firearm, not entered as stolen, offense report completed.

Cpl. Croney, theft, Hwy. 154; victim dropped wallet at gas station, observed debit card had already been used, camera footage captured Hispanic male pick up wallet and suspect’s vehicle.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Rich, assault, Mineola; victim pushed down, slapped by husband, wife fled house, did not want to press charges.

Deputy Williams, animal complaint; caller owns washateria, workers located dog left in crate, transported to Sheriff’s Office to attempt to locate owner.

March 11

Deputy Skinner, follow up; victim of previous theft call located firearm in yard after he reported it stolen, victim believes word got out of the theft, someone returned it, put in yard.

Sgt. Cox, identity theft; subject recently in accident, when he called insurance company, advised he had policies in three states. 

Deputy Nichols, scam, CR 2700; victim received call stating she had a warrant, needed to put money on gift card, give it to caller. 

Deputy Haley, missing person, FM 49; caller could not contact sister, did not know where she went, subject returned, advised she had gotten lost while driving. 

Deputy Haley, Deputy Way, disturbance, CR 2610; husband and wife advised they had been drinking, got into verbal altercation, due to being intoxicated and at friend’s house, were advised not to leave, friend would keep situation from escalating again.

March 12

Sgt. Sepulvado, Deputy George, welfare check; caller advised neighbors flying drones over house, deputies located caller who advised she was being followed by drones, deputies searched residence, located four children in poor living conditions, CPS contacted, children were removed.

Deputy Comeaux, illegal dumping, CR 1987, property owner advised each tenant signs form agreeing to what can and cannot be dumped into Dumpsters, found RV sink and toilet inside Dumpster, property owner able to get issue resolved.

Deputy Way, suspicious circumstance, FM 2869; homeowner believed someone was trying to break into residence, deputy searched area, did not locate anything, house added to extra patrol.
