April 10

Cpl. Croney, identity theft; victim applied for loan, someone had been opening accounts in her name, affected credit score, incident report completed.

Deputy Whisenhunt, disturbance, CR 1977; caller let dogs out, got into neighbor’s yard, neighbor came outside, pointed BB gun at dogs, threatened to shoot them. It was determined neighbor never pointed gun at a person, no offense occurred.

Cpl. Burdick, Deputy Williams, disturbance twice, CR 3580; parties advised they got into verbal dispute, did not become physical, parties advised to separate for the night.

April 11

Cpl. Croney, theft, FM 14; husband’s chainsaw stolen out of truck, suspect left smiley face drawing on the front porch, offense report completed.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Whisenhunt, assault; victim’s son struck her in face during argument, fled on foot, deputies searched area, unable to locate, mother advised she would report as runaway if he doesn’t return, offense report forwarded to Juvenile Probation.

Deputies, suicidal subject, CR 4586; EMS advised male subject possibly had gun to harm himself and others, deputies discovered information incorrect, subject did not have gun, went with EMS for treatment.

April 12 

Cpl. Rapp, animal complaint; someone dropped off two puppies at residence, caller provided possible suspect, advised to contact an animal shelter.

Deputy Rich, terroristic threat; after speaking with victim by phone, it was determined no offense occurred, caller able to retrieve belongings from residence 

Sgt. Mayer, agency assist; game wardens made aware of stranded boat on Lake Fork, deputies unable to locate any stranded boats.

April 13

Deputy Skinner, suspicious person, CR 3480; someone had taken items from victim’s residence, provided camera footage of suspect, burglary report in same area filed previously.

Deputies, suicidal subject; caller’s son threatening to harm himself, has injured himself in past, deputies detained subject, transported for treatment.

Sgt. Cox, Sgt. Mayer, Deputy Comeaux, assault, Private Road 8692; parties got into argument that became physical, another male helped separate parties, neither wished to pursue charges.

Cpl. Smith, disturbance, Private Road 8692; victim assaulted by male, fled scene, victim flown to hospital due to laceration, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Haley, theft, CR 3900; someone stole victim’s medication, deputy observed victim to be under the influence, CPS notified due to kids in residence not being cared for.

April 14

Cpl. Rapp, animal complaint, Private Road 7844; horse had been attacked by neighbor’s dog, deputy unable to contact neighbor, will complete follow up.

Deputy Nichols, Deputy Comeaux, assault, CR 4537; victim had been assaulted multiple times by husband, most recent assault happened several days ago, victim took pictures of injuries but did not report it, case will be investigated further.

Sgt. Cox, stolen property, CR 3550; stolen vehicle recovered, owners will be able to recover from wrecking yard.

Deputy Comeaux, burglary, CR 2150; five individuals broke into residence, stole items, neighbor witnessed incident, provided suspect’s license plate.

Sgt. Mayer, Winnsboro PD, possible stolen mini bike; bike had been stolen out of Wood County, bike impounded, suspect Jonathan Nolen arrested for theft. 

April 15

Deputy Pollard, found puppies; caller located box with five puppies inside, puppies transported to Sheriff’s Office.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, warrant service; deputies notified by Hopkins County of wanted subject in area, located suspect, Alex Flemens, placed in custody, transported to county line where Hopkins County picked up.

Cpl. Croney, request to speak; caller advised while traveling on Hwy. 37, vehicle began driving erratically, possibly displayed firearm, deputies checked for vehicle through out night, did not locate it. 

Deputy Williams, attempted burglary, Hwy. 80; someone attempted to break into RV, stole metal outside, witnesses believe suspect lives in nearby lot, case forwarded to investigations.

April 16

Deputy Pollard, follow up, animal welfare; observed dog to have significant injury without healing, offense report completed for cruelty to non-livestock.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Cato, warrant service, Mineola. Wyatt Wilkes arrested for outstanding warrant. 

Deputy Cato, suspicious person, CR 2921; caller observed male standing behind vehicle on their property, ran into woods, deputies unable to locate subject.
